RUN HAPPY!!!
Another year and I am still here...but that is a great thing! It means that I am still moving forward and refusing to turn back. I have come so far in the past few of years, while I haven't made goal weight I am so happy with the results so far. Since August 2008 I have lost 95 pounds went from a size 20 dress to 8-10. Completed several 5Ks, an 8K, 2 10Ks, a 10-miler and four half marathons. It hasn't been easy I have had set backs and am still struggling with food, I guess food ...
It hasn't been easy I have had set backs and am still struggling with food, I guess food will always be my frenemy. I realize I have an unhealthy relationship with food but I am learning to work around that. I am not willing to give up the foods that I love so I have to learn to eat in moderation but nothing is off limits. If I can watch what I eat 80% of the time I look at it as a positive lifestyle change. I want this to be permanent this time I know that diets don't work for me and I just have to learn to control my eating the best I can with changes that I can live with for the rest of my life. Running has become the cornerstone of my success...I have developed a love for running and when nothing else seems to be going right I am still managing to run most days of the weeks. To keep that going into 2012 I have joined a challenge to run 1212 miles this year but I have added a little personal twist for myself and that is to complete it by 12/12/12.
