The third time is a charm...
Since the start of my Spark journey in February of 2010, I have lost a total of 31 lbs...but 15 of that I regained at the end of 2010...lost it again at the beginning of 2011...and guess what?? Now it's back again...UGH! But, I refuse to wallow in my steps backwards because I have no one to blame but myself for not remaining dedicated. Now it's back again...UGH! But, I refuse to wallow in my steps backwards because I have no one to blame but myself for not remaining dedicated. As a person who has struggled with her weight all of her life, it wasn't until I started with Spark in 2010 that I recognized and admitted that I am an emotional eater. Most of you know what this means..but in short..if life is good, I do well with my routines and I succeed and if life is stressful, I run to food and become lazy...hence the yo-yo pounds. I know that we are constantly works in progress, so I don't claim to be perfect by any means, nor will I ever get there because there is always something to learn. In 2011, I came to terms with a lot of things about myself...gained valuable insight, which in turn has given me the strength and motivation to get back on the path to a healthier/fitter me. It's going to be tough at first reintergrating everything back into my routine but I have decided to start with one thing and keep adding on until I get there...steps forward, no matter how small I'm still moving! I wish all my fellow Sparkers a year of happiness and blessings. Because I have many goals for myself both fitness/healthwise, as well as personal goals, I am limiting my time on Spark to 1 or 2 times a week, one session of which I will update my status and measurements, etc. I had to set this limitation with myself regarding all my social networking arenas or it becomes too easy to waste precious time on these sites that I can be doing other, more productive things. So, if you don't see me on every day this is why. Let's do this!
