Wife, mother, photographer, sister, daughter, friend and now... health enthusiast! I have had a battle with weight for basically my entire life. Even when I was really young I felt "fat" because I had a friend who had some disorder that was grossly underweight, and I was a healthy weight, but next to her I felt fat. Wife, mother, photographer, sister, daughter, friend and now... health enthusiast! I have had a battle with weight for basically my entire life. Even when I was really young I felt "fat" because I had a friend who had some disorder that was grossly underweight, and I was a healthy weight, but next to her I felt fat. I gained some weight my freshman/sophomore year of highschool, and lost a lot my senior year. With my first pregnancy I gained a whopping 70 lbs! I quickly lost 50 but never lost that last 20 lbs. After awhile I started gaining weight due to birth control and lack of self control. I got pregnant with my second and did a lot better and gained less than 30 lbs with that pregnancy. I lost all that weight and then some, and was down to 170 lbs. Then my cousin was very violently killed, and I started gaining weight like crazy. I got pregnant with my third child at 204 lbs. I ended that pregnancy at 214 lbs. I got down to 195, but still in a fog I never got the motivation to really lose weight, and I just gained all the weight back. Fast forward to a few months ago and I found out that I have PCOS. This makes it easy to gain weight and hard to lose it, but it really means that I HAVE to start making better choices, or I will have serious medical problems such as diabetes. I am now in the start of week 3 of exercising with a neighbor and tracking my food! I am feeling hopeful for the first time in a long time, and I have already lost 3 pounds! I am really learning a lot about food, calories, fat, sodium, etc. I just can't wait to continue to see the changes in myself and what my body is capable of! WE CAN DO IT!

My Goals:
My short-term goal is to lose 10-15 pounds by October 15th, because that's when we're doing our family portraits. :) Great short-term goal for me. Also, we might be going to see family for Thanksgiving, and I would love to be down 15-20 more lbs by then. And there is a company Christmas party sometime in December, goal is about -8 more lbs from the Thanksgiving goal.
My Program:
Tracking my food every day, started doing Slim in 6 with my friend Kari. I lost weight on that before and I believe I will be successful again. :) We have also started bike riding!!

Other Information:
I am a Christian and I know Jesus Christ is the only way. I am praying for strength and endurance. I am trying to treat my body like a temple, the way I was meant to all along.
