I am changing my introduction today after almost a year. May 1st 2010 was my start date with Spark. Now today April 11 2011 I have a different perspective. I used the nutrition tracker in the spring of 2010 and lost 22 pounds then in the fall of 2010 I stopped doing it. I just got tired of it I have continued to read Spark people emails and have continued to go for walks but the winter saw me gain back all but 6 pounds of my spring weight loss. Current Status:
JOANNANOW is looking forward to 4 days off! Heading to the city tomorrow for some shopping. The 5 & 2 plan is really working for me I lost 2 more lbs! Down 14 now in 5 weeks! So happy!

My Goals:
To find a course of action that will eliminate the temptation to solve emotional issues with sugar and or bread and butter.. To excercise, drink water and appreciate good healthy foods.

My Program:
Walk every day. Start strength training soon.
Cook without sugar.
Track my food consumption. Make sparks friends and learn to use this amazing resource.


Personal Information:
I am Joanna Carnie. I am a grandmother but the grand kids are 18 and 20 years old. I live in northern British Columbia in the countryside near a small village(originally from Montreal). I walk in the woods with my friend and our dogs. I am married and have a part time job at the local college. I read a lot and volunteer at the food bank.

Other Information:
In the last 20 years I have lost around 40 lb. twice. It seems like every 9 or 10 years I decide to lose the weight again. It creeps on at the rate of 3 or 4 pounds a year. I hate the scale and my clothes are tight. I am hoping to break the yoyo cycle this time and keep it off.

It was pouring this morning but now the sun is peeking out.
We're supposed to have the same weather for the next 3-4 days.
My gd's b-day party on Sat. has been moved inside.
My fast day went well on Monday and should today, too.
I haven't lost in a bit but that number has not bounced up at all in a few weeks, either!
You never did tell me why you decided to do consecutive fast days- does it just work better for you?
I'm thinking of doing 3 days- adding Sat to my schedule.

I ended up babysitting yesterday and didn't want to be distracted for my 1:30 interview today so am fasting tomorrow.

I watched the Moseley show today- very much like the Eat Stop Eat method of intermittent fasting that I have been trying.
There are a few teams about fasting.
Have you tried it?
I blogged about my experience a few times.
It is very interesting to observe and then ignore your hunger for a long period like that. I actually felt sort of high at times- very much in control- no headaches or dizziness or anything.
