I AM the author and central character of my life!!! ******* 12-05-2010 ******* Just finished HM #6 by running the Las Vegas strip….what a wild run! My goal was to just have FUN, not PR but I’ll take it! 2:47 ******* 11-07-2010 ******* It’s ‘official’. I AM crazy about running Half Marathons. With this race (HM # 5), I joined the AsyLum of Half Fanatics…....those cousins to Marathon Maniacs. LOL New PR for me at 2:52. Woohoo! Finally moving in the right direction. ******* 10-24-2010 ******* After a summer slump and a nasty fall during a run, I started to get some doubts about my running. I hadn’t planned on doing the LA Rock n Roll Inaugural HM but I’m so glad my step-son asked us to go along. He got a new PR and I got my JOY from running back! ******* 06-06-2010 ******* Today I helped someone else achieve a dream…their 1st HM! We ran the San Diego Rock n Roll HM. ******* 04-11-2010 ******* Pinch me, I must be dreaming. I just finished my 2nd HM, Gulf Coast HM in Pensacola Beach. A year (and a day) ago I joined Spark People and started tracking my food and my fitness. I started running for fitness and ended up doing it for fun!!! ******* 01-17-2010 ******* A year ago the PF Chang's Rock n Roll AZ was something I read about in the paper or saw on the news. Thanks to Spark People I ran in it! I AM a Half Marathoner!!! I joined the SP Jeff Galloway Training for any Length Race Team, read Jeff's book and started running in June. Then I joined SP 2010 Half Marathoners Team and continued to run 3 times a week and had FUN doing it (Jeff's definition of a successful runner). ******* 04-10-2009 ******* When we retired in 2003 our newfound 'FREEDOM' got the best of us....after years of working stress (and slowly gaining weight) we decided to take it easy. Once you've lost your mobility and physical endurance you have to WORK to gain it back. My husband had such bad knees that the only safe way for him to regain it was to have gastric bypass surgery. Now a year later and 150 lbs lighter he has done just that and inspired me to lose the 40+ that I had gained over the years. Now we are both on the right track and celebrating the precious gift of life to the fullest, each and every day!!!!

My Program:
Making SparkPeople my home base for daily tracking of food and fitness. Being conscious about eating (portion control) and increasing activity levels. Weight training 3 x's a week and cardio 4-5 x's a week. Walking/running with the dog is good for both of us!!
