This is my now ! This is my time ! From this day forward I am making ME my number one priority in taking care of my health .... if I don't take care of me ... I will do whatever it takes and strive to do my best to make healthful food choices, drink my water, exercise, get plenty of sleep, reduce my stress, and treat others the way I like to be treated. I will endeavor to be conscious of when, why, where, and how I eat to the best of my ability and eat simply to satisfy my nutritional needs as opposed to my emotional needs ... I realize that this contract is solely with myself and it carries no other rewards, penalties, or punishments other than those associated with the reflection of the strength of my character. ~ Niki .... October 25 th. 2008 ~ Niki ... January 1 st. 2010 **************************************** Keys To My Success 1. Exercising. 2. Eating breakfast ( the most important meal of my day ) 3. Drinking lots of clean fresh water. 4. Getting enough sleep. 5. Setting realist goals. 6. Surrounding myself with a support team who want the same as I do ... Good Health. 7. Plan ! Plan ! Plan ! ( Fail to plan ... plan to fail ) 8. Journal 9. Look in the mirror everyday and say " I Love who I am " 10. Eat 6 small meals a day ( this is what seems to work best for me ) 11. Remember to take time out to play, laugh, and have fun. 12. Keep a positive attitude. 13. Cut out all the white stuff ( sugar, salt, rice, flour, etc. and all processed foods. 14. Weight myself once a week, do my measurements once a month ( Each will tell me a different story ) Above all don't let the scales rule me ) 15. Reward myself as I reach a mini goal. 16. Meditate and do yoga ( It is good for the mind, body, and soul ) 17. Allow for mistakes because I will make them ... ( That is OK because I am human and we all make them ) 18. Manage my stress on a daily basic. 19. Smile 20. Have a " No-Fail Environment " If it's not there I can't eat it 21. No eating after 8 at night. 22. Share tips, ideas, suggestions etc. 23. Ask for help. 24. I will say " No " more often and not feel guilty about it. 25. Get my yearly check-up and listen to my doctor. 26. Watch my portion sizes ( To accomplish this key I have started measuring my food ... I am eating quite healthy, it's just my portions are way to much ) 27. When going grocery shopping make a list and stick to it. 28. Read labels. 29. Post my daily affirmation on my calendar. 30. Start my day off with " My Morning Cup Of Solitude " The list is doable and I know I can't or won't do them all at once, but what I do know for sure is this ... This is a life long journey and each key will lead me on the right path to good health. ************************************* A tried and true formula fits here ... BE ... Do ..... Have BE committed ! Do what it takes ! And you will HAVE what you want ! ************************************* Change your thinking to change your health .... Believe that you will succeed ! **************************************** My vision numbers I am working on to come down are .... B. M. I. Now 33 ... Goal 23 Waist To Hip Ratio Now 0.85+ which means I am an apple shape .. Goal .. 0.80 or below Weight ... Jan. 1 2010 .. 180 pounds ... Goal 125 Waist .. 381/2 ... Goal .. Not sure yet Hips .. 431/2 ... Goal .. Not sure yet Bust ... 45 ... Goal .. I will know : ) Clothes size 14 ... Goal Size 10 ********************************** As Of January 1 st. 2010 I Am Giving Up French Vanilla Cappuccino ...... I have reached my goal, I know longer want the Cappuccino and have not drank any since Jan 1st 2010 ... I know I will keep this goal !!!!!!!!
