Pastor Clint's Journey to be Fit

I pastor Andrews Presbyterian PCA in Andrews, SC. Over the last two years I have managed to go from 380 lbs to 295 lbs. My sister informed me about SparkPeople and I came here to find support on my journey to lose the next 120 lbs. At 63 I will not let my age stop me from getting there. Blessings be upon you.

Dedicated now to work on being 1/2 the man I used to be. To acknowledge my failures and short comings, and allow God to make something out of my nothingness.

Dedicated now to work on being 1/2 the man I used to be. To acknowledge my failures and short comings, and allow God to make something out of my nothingness.

I guess Martin Luther's words express it far better than I can.

"It is the nature of God that he makes something out of nothing. Consequently, if someone is not nothing, God can make nothing out of him. Thus God accepts no one except the abandoned, makes no one healthy except the sick, gives no one sight except the blind, brings no one to life except the dead, makes no one pious except sinners, makes no one wise except the foolish, and in short, has mercy upon no one except the wretched, and gives no one grace except those who have not grace."

Thus, I acknowledge it is in our weaknesses and inabilities, and that we present it to God and let Him make something out of Exnilo. He can make something out of nothing.

In Him we can see and accomplish all things.

We can all do this.
We can all allow Him to help us win the battles, big and small.

God Bless you all as we journey together.
Love
Clint

That sounds great, Pastor Clint! I hope you have a lot of enjoyable hours working with the kettle bell! I'm curious - since I've never used one (bad for my back) - does the bell come with suggested exercises?

emoticon for the goodie. I love my bike because I can still ride in the heat of summer. Can't say that about walking or running outside in the GA summer!

keep on emoticon
