Hi, I'm Spirit! After Roux N Y gastric bypass surgery in 2008, I sped 150 lbs, 95% of the weight I had to lose then gradually put it all back on again because of emotional eating and lack of movement. Technically, I'm morbidly obese and malnourished as well. And I've had two back surgeries with have disabled me. Thank goodness for yoga, qi gong, aquatic, and chair exercises. Hi, I'm Spirit! After Roux N Y gastric bypass surgery in 2008, I sped 150 lbs, 95% of the weight I had to lose then gradually put it all back on again because of emotional eating and lack of movement. Technically, I'm morbidly obese and malnourished as well. And I've had two back surgeries with have disabled me. Thank goodness for yoga, qi gong, aquatic, and chair exercises. Also I take several medications that make it challenging to lose weight. And I comfort myself with food when unable to sleep as well as to try to energize myself. I am a survivor, just a giant, economy size survivor! And as my body and mind come into better focus, I will find more joy and reach more dreams. Theoretically to tangibly. My life is exhilarating, and I am so thankful to be alive. I am a published writer of a children's book, a photographer, a Reiki master, an award-winning poet, and a Florida Gator with a master's degree! I taught elementary and middle-school children for 33 years in public, private, and laboratory schools. Best of all, I have two loving sons who really care about me. And I have a new daughter-in-law and baby grand daughter! Although it seems difficult sometimes, why give up?! Little by little, life moves on, and change is made. I am getting fit for life!

My Goals:
to improve balance to increase energy to develop healthy ways to handle stress, boredom, anger, and loneliness to find fun ways to exercise to enjoy healthy eating to decrease medical bills & prescriptions to contribute to increase longevity.
My Program:
Phase one: to sign in to Sparkpeople 3-5 x/wk. to eat 1200-1500 c. a day; to measure proportions; to eat 5 fruits & veggies a day: to eat no less than 60 gmas. protein a day; Phase Two: to reduce my nighttime eating by one day a week; to interrupt binge eating with healthy substitute foods; to reduce stress by 20% in healthy ways; to write a blog when I feel worried or stressed at least 3 times a week. Phase Three: to receive clearance to exercise; to exercise 10 min./day; to attend a yoga/qi gong/aquatics class 1-3x/wk.; Phase Four: to volunteer with children or animals; to publish another book; to practice public speaking; to sing with a new band; to try improv; to travel Glacier Park Crater Lake Devil's Mountain Alaska Scotland Figi
