hi my name is carla and I am 22 years old. I have a beautiful toddler that is the light of my life. I am a single mom working two jobs. I have struggled with being overweight my whole life and have dieted off and on but now its time to get serious. I am 232 and although thats not my heaviest weight its still way too much for me! I'm ready. Joining spark on Monday 9/20 hopefully will help me with the struggles I have had at keeping with it.

I am 22 years old living in sw va working as a full time nurse. With a bequtiful little redheqded daughter that really keeps me on my toes!

Other Information:
 My favorite pasttimes besides playing with my baby girl are reading and music... but the tv is always going in The background!

Hi Carla - they call me "Sprink" round these parts and it's my pleasure to meet you. Thank you for your honesty in your blogs, I read back to last October - you want what you see others having - healthier lifestyles, better motivation, less whining and more winning.

I can't tell you what to do, what steps to take, which method is best for you - those are for you to figure out. What I can tell you - and I hope you see it in the responses to your blogs - YOU MATTER TO MORE PEOPLE THAN YOU REALIZE - and we're here to help.

You became a winner the moment you decided to make a change - any bumps in the road up until this moment - forget 'em. You can only do your best today - one minute, one hour, one day, this day. Your past doesn't have to anchor you in muddy waters, you just have to set sail and learn to enjoy the journey. I'm spewing metaphors again - but they help take the sting out of the reality that each choice you make in your day, how you speak, act, eat, and share your life with others is all you have to deal with.

Give yourself credit for every good choice you make, tell the people in your life that you love them at every opportunity, enjoy your journey into a new healthier happier you - however you define it. It's your life - live it, love it, share it - you will be amazed at what is possible when you start by simply believing in yourself and become the driver in your life, not a passenger stuffed in the back seat with your past baggage.

Had I not been Sparked by EFFIEANNIE last may, my life would not be the same, I've met so many SparkFriends, shared so much of my journey and read so much about others. My life is so much richer, the pounds are gone, and I've re-discovered who I am, simply by sharing who I was.

No matter how unique each of us might think we are - it's when you're open enough to realize that there's a world of people out there, many just like me or you - ready to lend a helping hand, cheering you on toward your goal and helping you keep your head above water when the seas are choppy. What SparkPeople does - for the people that "get it" is provide us with a place to meet people, make friends, share our lives, and get some good old fashioned "thank you for being my friend" kinda love that each of us needs.

Keep reaching out, blog whatever you need to get out, and keep reading others blogs, making new friends, sharing your journey and make sure others know you care - because we care about you!

A belated thank you for reading and responding to my blog last week (Distorted views we often have). I'm glad it spoke to you so directly; I'm always a little heartbroken for those who make a mistake here and there and are so ready to throw in the towel and say they can't do it.

Saw a quote from ~INDYGIRL the other day that I think really fits too:

== Having a bad day is like getting a flat tire. You fix it and get back on the road; you don't have a tantrum & go around popping holes in the other 3 tires! ~Indygirl ==
