Has Anyone Seen My Motivation?

Wednesday, July 16, 2008

I've been doing GREAT for a couple of weeks now; really back on track, eating right, exercising every day, and losing. Today I seem to have lost a little steam. I got up at 5:30, my usual time. It took me over a half-hour to put on my workout clothes and get started, and I was DRAGGING MY ASS the whole time. I pushed myself through my upper body free weights routine, and by the time I was through, I didn't have time to spend on the treadmill.

I think part of the problem might be that I didn't sleep enough. I was up until 11:00 last night working on my research proposal. I got into a mode, and didn't want to let go of it.

I'm feeling more energetic now, though, so maybe I can sneak in some CV this afternoon. IT IS TOO HOT and humid to exercise outside, but I can hop on the treadmill when I get home from work, BEFORE I sit down at my desk to write.

I just thought you loaned it to me for a few minutes. You'll get it back. Thanks for your sweet note in my blog.

It really does get easier over time. When I first started, I CRIED all the way to the gym, but I kept on going. Now, I LOVE working out!! It took a little while, but the longer you hang in there, the less a$$ you have to drag and the load gets lighter! LOL!!

Keep up the good work!

Yep, and after Twist was done, I slipped it away from her to fuel my bike training!

Actually, Joey, when you weren't looking I borrowed it so I'd ride my bike to work. I meant to put it back before you noticed, but I forgot about the time difference. emoticon

Well at least you did work out! Keep it up, the feeling of finally succeeding is so great!!
