Half Marathon Training Week 1 Done!

Ok my first week really back in training has gone mostly well. I was sick on Tuesday so didn't do my other cardio or strength training that day but still managed to do my scheduled run on Wednesday and the rest of my plan for the rest of the week. Just did C25k week 5, day 3 which was a 20min run. That was the longest I've done in months. It went well except for the last 30 secs when I started finding it slightly difficult to breathe. I was so happy when my podcast said I was done! I'm still a little under the weather so that might also have contributed to the breathing difficulty. My first race (this year!) is a 5 mile on the 18th July (I think) and i'm really looking forward to that. I was over on cals two days this week but not by TOO much and a little under on two so i reckon it balances out. Proud that I'm keeping to my plan and looking forward to next week!

  Wow, good job doing the training for the marathon! I want to sign up for the half or full marathon for next year so I can have a goal. I think what your doing with the 5 mile run then longer is really great. Building up distance! Good luck =D
