I am so proud of myself.
At the beginning of the week, I set a goal and reached out for support from team members to reach a 200 cardio minute goal together. Even though I had a few days of unexpected sickness, I was still able to meet that goal by the end of the week (Tue is the night before weigh in, so saying "end of the week" really means "middle of week" lol)...
...and I don't think I would have been able to do it if I had not posted that challenge for everyone to see, and had the incredible response from you all that I did. Part of me just wanted to stick to what I said, but part of me also didn't want to see other people meeting the 200 and me--the one who started it!--falling short.
So, for everyone who participated in the 200 minute challenge, THANKS!!!!!
I have not done this many cardio minutes in a single week for probably 2.5 years... it absolutely exhausted me, but I AM SO EXCITED to see real results tomorrow....
I went over my calories almost ever day because I was RAVENOUSLY HUNGRY, but I never went more than 100-300 over (and I am very conservative when I track), so I still think I will meet my goal of being less than 400 lbs tomorrow (And since I cheated and did a preview weigh in, I am almost certain I will be, barring an unexpected water gain).
Tomorrow is the official weigh in but I just couldn't stop myself from blogging. Thanks for the Hiking Hotties for supporting and pushing me to challenge myself. So happy.
Misc stuff:
I think I need to plan out rest days / light cardio days more effectively next week. I am exhausted, so sore, my ankle sort of hurts, and I have knots in almost every muscle. It is a good ache, though, and not nearly as bad as the debilitating lower back and shoulder pain I suffered when I was out of shape. I think I just pushed it a little bit this week since all of my workouts were moderate-intense and I am still ridiculously out of shape. DON'T WORRY, I fully plan on doing absolutely NOTHING tomorrow except sleeping, eating tuna, and reading Dance with Dragons all day, and of course ordering (healthy) delivery.

Also, my bf is a licensed massage therapist, who promised to reward me if I reach my 200 minute goal with a full body massage. I swear I am so lucky... he's a keeper, lol
This Thursday I'm going out of town to a Decemberists Concert with him... but I will not fall off the wagon. I am, amazingly enough, super excited to work out in the gym of the hotel, and on Friday we are going to the zoo, which will be at least 60 walking minutes. I might have to cheat on my diet Thurs, but I will make up for it with more home cooking when I get home on Saturday.
