My lil Sawyer

Sunday, July 15, 2012

I can't describe just how happy I am right now, but I want to try so I can share. After waiting 9 months and a long past two weeks my nephew is finally here! There have been other moments in my life where I have been extremely happy and proud, including my graduation and the day my brother got married, but none of those compare to seeing my nephew for the first time. Sawyer is a beautiful baby that arrived at 3:44 pm weighing 6 lbs, 13oz. He has his parents dark brown hair and his daddy's blue eyes.

I feel bad devoting a whole blog to my nephew but I think of him as an encouraging factor in my mission to get my weight down and healthly eating on track. I have to admit after waiting in the hospital all day, I did not eat well today. But tomorrow is the start of my trying to cut back on the sugar. I've been tracking how much sugar I eat and when I eat it all week so now I'm ready to replace the stress and boredom with something else instead of junk.

Great you blogged about your nephew. He is a motivator for you and you can be an example for him as he grows up. How much better to have a fit and healthy aunt who eats fruits and veggies instead of junk.

And especially great you took the time to indentify the problem areas to work on to get a healthy lifestyle.

Don't worry. Becoming an auntie is always thrilling. Enjoy your new family baby!

And unless you bring your own cooler in some situation, it is darn hard to eat away from home. All you can do is begin a new day and not beat yourself up.
