Today is my second half day back of work. Today was my first day of trying to fit in excercise in the new normal. Last wekk I was able to excercise after dropping my daughter at daycare, by taking little man and dog for a walk before it was 100+ degrees (I'm a weather whimp and I'll own it). I HATE heat and I don't really like the cold. I was determined today to make some time for me. So I am bloggin while my dear sweet husband gives our daughter a bath and little sleeps.
I was able to work out after picking T up at daycare, since little man fell asleep in the car (thank goodness as he was CRANKY all afternoon). T the "helped" me work out and we danced to a fitness video we downloaded to netflix. I didn't even realize Netflix had work out video's so when I read that on a message board here on Sparkpeople it made my day. T loves to dance and I enjoy it too, which made working out much more fun. I used to take hip hop classes at our local arts center, but my favorite teacher left and then I found out I was pregnant, and now there is a lack of money, so this is a great alternative. We also joined an indoor play place, as a family and I have been taking T on Sundays and we play hard for 2-4 hours. This wears her and I out and I had no idea how many calories it can burn.
What I also found helpful, since I only worked until noon today was as I was eating lunch, at 2pm, I half cooked dinner, so that all we had to do was finish it while I was working out. I don't know how I will continue this when I am working full days, but I have decided that with such a little baby I just cannot predict what I am going to do, but it will start to shape up eventually.
What do you do when you cannot schedule your life? What is a little thing you do to keep up being healthy?
