6 weeks...

Thursday, August 02, 2012

6 weeks ago, I started a couch to 5K program and restarted my weight loss journey. I can't believe that it has been 6 weeks already. I have 2 1/2 weeks left in my couch to 5K program. I'm still going to be training because the 5K I am running isn't until September 8. I should be ready to go by then.

In 6 weeks, I lost 10 lbs and started toning my body. I'm feeling much better than I was. I don't get winded climbing the stairs to my apartment or to my office on the 3rd floor at work.

I've learned a good bit about myself in these 6 weeks. Here is what I have learned...

-that I actually like to run.
-I can get up early in the morning as exercise.
-water is my friend.
-people do take notice to how you are changing.
-family and friends are really there to support you on your journey.
-that you inspired someone else to start a couch to 5K program.
-that a change in eating habits and exercise does work (I did know this, just had to realize it).

I just wanted to share this with everyone. I'm pretty proud of myself. emoticon
