More observation than blog-Food, Food Everywhere!

Thursday, August 02, 2012

As I was going over the meals I have planned for tomorrow, I was amazed at the amount of food on my tracker.

There's enough there to feed a small army I swear. This comes in at under 1,400 calories which leaves me 162 calories just in case I'm still hungry at some point. I don't even know that I'll eat all of this and I don't know that it will be in the order that it's on my tracker. I just break it down that way so it looks pretty on my screen. I guess it proves the point that when you're eating ( at least mostly) the correct foods you should be able to stay full quite comfortably.

Breakfast: pancakes with real maple syrup. I only use a tablespoon but it's more than enough.

Midmorning Snack: a Nature's Own Sandwich thin with an egg and a slice of bacon.

Lunch: 3 oz oven roasted pork with green beans and potatoes. (2 medium size new potatoes) Green beans and potatoes is a comfort food from my childhood.

Midafternoon snack: Baby carrots, hardboiled egg, 1 oz colby cheese, 1/4 c chickpeas and 1 mini whole wheat pita shell cut into slices and baked to make chips.

Dinner Potato soup (1 cup of diced potatoes, 1/4 c of real milk and 1 teaspoon of real butter)

Bedtime snack 1/2 c pinto beans (usually I have black beans, but I finished them off today)

Oh, I go over when I eat ground beef meals. I wonder if the ground beef raw, verses browned and grease removed, how much of a difference in calories it makes. I also go over when I have heavy carb days. Carb meals tend to not fill immediately, and then fill me an hour later. (Like pancake breakfasts.)

I notice the only I go over is when I've been eating junk.
Keep up the great job of eating healthy! It has so many pay offs.
Have a great day! emoticon
