Sunday morning

Sunday, August 19, 2012

I just finished breakfast while watching Good Eats. Alton has the very rare ability to make me laugh out loud while discussing, say, meatloaf! Lord knows, I need more laughs.

I have absolutely no energy today, and I feel like crying. I feel kind of lost.

Keep on laughing there, it's the best medicine. Don't let things get you down.

Remember how good you felt when you laughed today with Alton. You can laugh all my yourself. Fake it till you make it.. Seriously, laughter heals and it doen't have to be at something funny. Laughing for 1 minutes is the equivalent cardio exercise of using a rowing machine for 3 minutes. So..... cardio away... even if you don't feel like it.

I love Alton Brown, too. He's so sweet and logical and funny. I hope by now you are feeling better. Maybe you should make some meatloaf.

While I do look to others for a laugh, I try to laugh at myself at least once per day. If I can do that, I can continue to live with myself. Sometimes it's an ill-fated comment on TV, something I read, or usually something stupid that I do that makes me laugh.

I hope that you, too, can laugh at me one day. I am a hazard to myself, so it's easy to laugh at me. And if it makes you feel better, I will do more stupid things - just for you!

Mama said there'd be day like this... But the promise is that tomorrow is a new day. So hold on tight and breathe, distract yourself, and pamper yourself. And yes, laughter is the best medicine!

You'll be ok. Just try to focus on what you've accomplished and what makes you happy.

Laughter seems to be a social thing, so it's harder to laugh when you're alone, even at the same things you'd laugh at with other people. Glad Alton did it for you today. I've made one or two pretty funny meatloaves myself. One time i added oatmeal to my ground beef as an extender, but it was too dry, so I added hot water, and wound up with a meatloaf that poured like cake batter. Still it tasted good.

Have you thought any more about trying that church you had mentioned? It might help to get out among other people, and to know you aren't entirely alone. There might even be someone there who needs your caring and wisdom. My prayers are with you, always.

Go to YOUTUBE & watch clips from The Big Bang Theory. I find that show to be HILARIOUS; & whenever I am "down", it helps me! May I suggest: Sheldon is UPSET!
I've watched that over 100 times & I STILL LAUGH like it's the FIRST time I've seen it!
Naturally, not EVERYONE likes it as much as I do; but give it a shot! LOL emoticon

We all need more laughs - I'm glad meatloaf did it for you today! I'm sorry you are feeling like crying. You're always one of those people online that I look forward to writing what you post - especially in the NFL message boards. So know that there are people out here who are sending prayers and good thoughts your way.
