I'm going out on a limb here. Quite liked the shoes I could still open the links to...........its Crocs I hate! No idea why they're so popular! Each to their own I guess!
ROFL - at least those are ugly shoes with a sense of humor!

I have found that I am a LOVER of the ugly shoe. I have trouble drawing the line between funky and fugly. But of ALL ugly shoes... these take the cake BY FAR!!
yes, aging is a bitch! But in a lot of ways, it's really fun, too! I like being my age, for the most part. I'm so much wiser and I have my priorities straight FINALLY!

I used to be able to wear wedges, though I need an ankle strap, otherwise I walk right out of them. But I had two knee surgeries (same knee, twice) and not only are wedges/heels a problem, now the ankle swells with the wrong shoe so ankle straps are out.
Aging sucks. Then again, I don't want to arrive at the end of my life with all body parts in perfect condition, because that would mean I hadn't lived life to its fullest. I'm okay with a limited time warranty of body parts.
I guess I just need an oil & lube, LOL!

Oh yes!! If you go on utube you can see MANY issues like that with models on the runway. There is this one out there where the model wobbled for a VERY long time before finally falling down.
I wear some wedges, but most of my heels I can't wear anymore since my ankle surgery. Plus, at my weight, the feet really start to hurt quickly.

Yeah, I liked the architecture of the yellow one, but the way they had it was just doing it for me. Plus such a FLAT sole!
I saw a news story about heels and how they injure the foot - they showed models in clodhopper platforms like the one I included, and the models were falling over because the shoes were SO difficult to walk in!!!!! (Like DUH!)

No, those Donna Karans weren't fugly exactly, but they were the most expensive women's shoes on Zappos and I certainly did not understand why. $40 would seem appropriate to me.
I'm sure some of our fashionista sisters would like some of the ones you picked. But that sandal that is a pukey yellow color actually has a fairly nice cut. It's the color that just blows it.
And that one with the HUGE platform... yeah, that one looks pretty heavy! ha ha. I would trip so easily in those!!

OMG, those white Calvin Kleins look like they're leftover from Saturday Night Fever!!!!!!!! They're awful!
Gotta say I don't think the Donna Karans are the worst of the group. I wouldn't pay $1600 for them - but they aren't the worst. The leopard print cowboy boots are worse. Really bad.
Check out these sandals - OMG, what were they thinking??????
Ok, Phebess... I've been on the lookout for HIGH PRICED fugly shoes, just so we could really get a belly laugh from some of this stuff. Would you believe this one is one of the most expensive I've found? Just doesn't seem worth it. www.zappos.com/product/7542852/color/16435
There are so many of these types out there right now! Here's one example and we can consider the entire style to be a complete waste of material. www.zappos.com/product/7524579/color/3
You know what's sick about this? I found this all on the first two pages of my search. I had 282 to go.

Oh my. ALL those shoes have identity crises - or multiple personalities! The first one, the boot, looks like it's a motorbiker chick boot for the Hell's Angel lady with a pedicure - OMG, it's awful!!!!!
I must say, though, in searching for the world's fugliest shoes, I have found SO MANY gorgeous shoes that I wish I could buy! Alas, they are Jimmy Choo's and other designers with a similar price tag.

you're so sweet,Phebess. Actually, my tracker moved UP 20 pounds in the last 6 months. Surgery, illness, etc. kept me down. I'm back on track, though and will hopefully see ONE-derland sometime in the near future.

I was trying to come up with a cute comment for that boot, but I couldn't. Your comment takes the cake!! I'll be on the lookout for ugly shoes today, too. It's not hard to find them.

I must be bored. I decided to find more fugly shoes. Maybe NB might like them. LOL justkidding.
What's scary is that I didn't have to search hard to find these gems.

You are right, NB. It is really great to have this team to compare ideas and styles, and not get upset with each other about it. YOu nailed it when you said in a former post... that otherwise we would all be wearing the same things.

I think many of us don't notice shoes as much when a person is wearing them - especially with long pants/jeans. They kind of blend into the outfit.
But some things are universally UGLY. Even Plato and Socrates would agree, LOL!
And yeah, I'm glad we all can agree that everyone has their own taste and style. I mean, I wouldn't be ME without my Birks!

I agree, those are some fugly shoes. But there's no accounting for taste. I have learned, mainly from this team, that I love really fugly shoes! And the inverse of that is also true: many things my teammates just GUSH over are the ugliest things imaginable... to ME! Things I would NEVER wear, and can't even imagine why they appeal to someone else... but clearly they do. IRL I get compliments on my shoes when I wear them, but who knows maybe the person dies laughing after I'm gone. I just want to say I'm SO GLAD we can say that we hate something or love something here and there are no hard feelings! Thank goodness for this team!
EVERYONE knows EXACTLY what they NEED to do to be fit, healthy, and slim. The problem is, nobody does it.

It is definitely mind boggling. And, even worse, they're more expensive than Wal-Mart shoes! I mean, c'mon!? If these ever become a "fashion staple" I pray to God that I hold back from "having to have 'em" :)

I know!!!!! First someone thought it was a great idea and DESIGNED it! Then, someone was willing to MAKE it! And then, to top it off, someone is going to BUY it - actually spend money on it!!!!!!!!! OMG - WHO??????? WHY????????????
OH - and the store's BUYER was willing to buy it on the chance that some nutjob will spend money on it - again, WHY?????????? Who do they think will actually buy this shoe? In any size???????
It just boggles my mind!!!!!!!!
