Mini challenges help me stay motivated. Instead of thinking "I will be consuming x amount of calories until I reach goal" I now break my goal down per week and tell myself I will consume x amount of calories and burn x amount at the gym this week. Breaking it down into a 7 day challenge makes it more manageable in my opion!
My husband likes to buy me clothes when he travels. His idea of my size and my actual size USED to be a lot smaller. SO I hang up a piece that I really like in my closet. So every time I get dressed I see it. I have done that 2-3 times now....and I am WEARING those pieces! I also print out encouraging signs and says and tape them on the mirror in the bathroom. I can see them every morning as I am getting ready for work. It helps me remember I am important and worth it!
When motivation fails discipline steps in to take it's place. Keep a journal, keep a focus. You are not going to wake up every day cheery and ready to go. We are human,we get cranky. Keep a regimen, keep a routine, keep a journal. Celebrations will come soon and the motivation will return.
